History
It was a long held dream of the directors of the Australian Girls Choir to share the benefits of the performing arts with children who would otherwise be unable to access such opportunities. This desire to broaden the activities of the AGC was shared by members of the staff team and alumni.
In 2007 g-oz, a not for profit association, was established; a committee of five embarked on the journey to create high quality performing arts programs and connect AGC alumni. With the financial backing of ASPA the inaugural g-oz committee was able to develop a framework to support the delivery of programs, source funding and undertake four exciting projects throughout 2007 and 2008.
Alongside the work of g-oz, the g-oz trust was set up to facilitate fundraising efforts. People who believe in the AGC approach to the performing arts can support the g-oz aims as donors.
June 2009 saw the launch of the g-oz membership drive and the beginning of an exciting new phase.
